I was watching friends (the sitcom) the other day and in a episode phoebe and joey (the main characters) were having an argument whether there is any selfless good deed that we perform or not. In the end they conclude that there is no selfless good deed that we perform. We always perform good deeds to make someone happy, it could be anyone other people. Ourselves or god. But we indented to do actions to feel good about it, in the end it all sum up to be a not selfless good deed. But i think there are some good deeds we do in which we ignore ourselves and put other things on top. Like praying for someone without them knowing, letting the A.C or heated go on a bit longer so even there will be a bit high bill ,so just the other person can enjoy the sleep, giving your food or stuff to needy people even though you need it and the list goes on, it doesn't end. The list is yours, its the sacrifices you do for other people which you siding your own self. You can call it sacrifice, you can call it selfless good deed its your choice but in this you put yourself aside and care for something else.
That what's needed.
