Facebook memories is a weird place.
I find myself staring at certain memories,
Not really sure how I feel about them.
Daily memories with people who were the centre of my world.
People who, now,
I can’t even remember the last time I spoke to.
People I now know nothing about.
“Forevers” that were extremely temporary,
And love that was more fragile than I ever thought.
Facebook memories scare me,
Because they’re the literal proof that nothing lasts forever.
Actually,
Nothing even lasts for as long as you might think.
And the thing is,
Those sweet memories rarely make me feel sad,
Or nostalgic.
They usually leave me feeling,
Unaffected,
Indifferent,
Maybe a bit ironic at best.
Which makes make me wonder,
Are we really as fragile as we think we are?
Are there any losses that would kill us?
Does life stop at anything?
Anything at all?
